i don't know if this is the appropriate place to say this but i want to thank jack for his help when we had a "crisis" in guilin. our guide cancelled on us at 830pm the night we arrived in guilin. we had hoped to leave the hotel first thing in the morning and travel up the dragonsbakc terraces stay overnight and then back to yangshuo. jack answered our pm, rang us at the hotel, organised a bus, told uss what to do. he even rang the bus driverr the next day to make ssure we made it on board. he checked with our hotel that they would mind our bags. he really rescued us and we can't praise him enough. this will be a story we will tell of the kindness of the chinese people. thanks jack heather
